Diagnosing and fixing 404 errorsHow getting help works
1
Tell me what’s wrong
Email support@websiteadmin.co.uk with your website address, what’s happening and when it started. A screenshot of any error helps.
2
Get an estimate
I’ll take a look and tell you what I think the problem is and roughly how long it will take, before any work starts.
3
I fix it
I take a backup first and work through my own login, so you never share your password and nothing is lost.
4
You know what happened
A short, plain-English note of what was wrong, what I changed and how to stop it happening again.
One-off fix or care plan?
Both are fine. It depends how often your site needs attention.
One-off help
£75 per hour
- You need a specific problem fixed, once.
- Your site is otherwise kept up to date by you or someone else.
- No commitment: pay by card when the job’s done.
Care plan
From £49 per month
- Updates, backups and monitoring handled for you every month.
- Anything broken by an update I make is fixed at no extra cost.
- Monthly time for content edits, and cancel any time.

WordPress support questions
How quickly can you help?
Critical problems, like a site that’s down, checkout failing or a hack, are acknowledged within 4 hours during support hours (9:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday). Everything else is acknowledged by the next business day. See the SLA for details.
Do you work on sites you didn’t build?
Yes. Whoever built your site, I’ll get familiar with how it’s set up, including any custom theme or plugins, before changing anything.
Do I need a care plan?
No. One-off help is available to anyone at £75 per hour. If your site needs regular attention, a care plan is usually better value, and fixes for anything caused by the updates I make are included.
What do you need from me?
Your website address, a description of the problem, and access: either add me as an administrator in WordPress or let me set up my own login. For some problems I’ll also need access to your hosting.
What if it can’t be fixed quickly?
If a problem turns out to be bigger than expected, I’ll stop and tell you before going over the estimate, with the options and what each would cost.
My site has been hacked. Can you help?
Yes. A standard malware clean-up is a fixed £149. Email support@websiteadmin.co.uk or get in touch straight away and I’ll treat it as critical.
