Hi, I’m Peter. I look after WordPress sites for small businesses.
WebsiteAdmin is run by me, Peter Claridge, from Reading, Berkshire. I keep small business websites updated, backed up, secure and online, and when something breaks, you deal directly with the person fixing it.
Most small businesses don’t need an agency for this. They need someone reliable who understands how their website, hosting and email fit together, and who’ll answer when they get in touch.
Twenty-plus years of fixing websites
I’ve been building and running websites since the late 90s. The tools have changed several times over, but the job hasn’t: keep the site working, keep it secure, and make sure it helps the business find and win customers.
Alongside WebsiteAdmin I work as a fractional head of digital, looking after the websites, search visibility and technical infrastructure for a small number of businesses, including B3 Designers, Savvy IQ and Posh Cockney. I’ve also designed and built WordPress sites for restaurants and hospitality businesses such as Honeyshade, Brook & Green and Ishbilia.
That wider experience matters when something goes wrong. A site that “looks down” might be a plugin, the server, the DNS or the browser cache, and I’m as comfortable on a Linux server as I am in the WordPress dashboard. You can read about some of those fixes in my case study and on the blog.
