LIFE SCAPE has added a WordPress import tool to LynxPress, its AI-assisted publishing service, allowing site owners to move content and key elements from an existing site. The company says the service handles hosting and platform updates, while a new agency plan gives web studios another way to manage client blogs.
Key takeaways
LynxPress is designed for WordPress users looking to reduce ongoing platform maintenance, but migration is not the only option for site owners seeking less hands-on upkeep.
- Imports posts, pages, images, categories and tags from a WordPress site address.
- Creates redirects from old URLs and can reproduce layouts from 13 popular Japanese themes.
- Offers AI-assisted drafting and an agency plan for web studios.
- A free plan is available, with paid plans starting at $29 per month.
What the WordPress import includes
LIFE SCAPE says LynxPress can bring across a site’s content, images, logo, colours, tagline, menu order and sidebar elements. Images are stored on the new platform, and redirects are set up from old URLs to help visitors and search engines reach the corresponding pages. Redirects can support continuity, but do not guarantee that search rankings will remain unchanged.
For 13 themes commonly used in Japan—including Cocoon, SWELL and Lightning—the importer can also recreate aspects of the original header, post list and sidebar. Sites using other themes can be moved to a LynxPress design instead.
A different approach to maintenance
LynxPress does not use PHP and is maintained by LIFE SCAPE, which says customers do not need to manage a server or install core, theme and plugin updates. The company argues that this can reduce exposure to vulnerabilities associated with outdated WordPress software and plugins. It is not a guarantee against every security risk, however, and a move to another platform involves trade-offs around design, features and control.
For businesses that want to remain on WordPress, a regular WordPress maintenance plan or care plan can help keep software updated and provide ongoing oversight without changing platforms. The right choice depends on whether a site owner values WordPress flexibility or prefers a managed publishing service.
AI tools and agency options
LIFE SCAPE also introduced a connection with AI assistants that support the Model Context Protocol. After connecting and signing in, users can save articles composed in an assistant as LynxPress drafts, including attached and featured images.
The agency plan is aimed at web studios that host and maintain client sites. It allows studios to use their own branding, set client prices and pool AI-writing capacity across sites. The monthly fee starts at ¥9,800 for three client sites, with reduced per-site rates at higher volumes; applications are reviewed and the minimum term is six months.
Availability and pricing
LynxPress opened public sign-ups on 25 October 2026. Its free tier publishes on a LynxPress subdomain, while paid plans are listed at $29 per month for Starter, $99 for Pro and $249 for Business. The service also includes industry-specific themes, analytics integrations and a multilingual dashboard.
